I wish to take this opportunity to put forward the strengths and virtues of this dynamic community in which we live.
There are many opportunities that exist here due to the imagination, drive and co-operation of members past and present in our community.
In the education field we have a great professional staff working in a modern K-12 school. Our students excel academically here and abroad. The school athletics as well takes a forefront wherever our students compete.
We have a fine almost new recreation centre that meets the need of our people. The multifunction arena contains skating and curling rinks with artificial ice, and a bowling alley. This facility enables our youth and adults to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Outdoor recreation facilities include ball diamonds, skateboard park, playgrounds, hiking trails, golfing and camping facilities. For the boating and fishing enthusiast, several lakes are within easy driving distance from our community. The area is a bird watching haven and draws birdwatchers from afar.
Our medical clinic is open 5 days a week and is part of a multi function facility to include the nursing home. Our medical professionals are a compliment to our community and greatly appreciated by our residents.
We have a thriving business community that provide a number of goods and services. Our business sector is very active and strives to make our community strong. We also have a strong agricultural base and oil and gas industry.
St. Walburg is a wonderful mix of culture, community volunteers and the entrepreneurial spirit. We invite you to come to our town and experience this for yourselves.
